Yappy CEO Danila Ovcharov announced the launch of the Marathon project, which will enable content authors to earn money. According to him, since April, the video platform will pay remuneration to users, transmits RBC.

In order to take part in this project, you must have a certain number of subscribers and views. So, the number of followers should be 300 people, and the views of videos published in the last 30 days should be 5 thousand in total. Another condition is the daily publication of one unique non-advertising video.
In the daily top 100 ranking will be users whose videos are ahead of others in terms of views and interactions, Ovcharov explained. He added that payments will be sent every two weeks to those who are on this list.
The interlocutor also pointed to the plans of the video platform to develop such areas as education, music and gaming.
Yappy is a Russian application for viewing and creating short videos. The allowed duration of the video is from 15 to 60 seconds. The service was created in 2021. Its founder is the Ritm Media company, which is part of holding “Gazprom-Media”.
