According to reports, on March 17, another US drone entered the airspace over the Black Sea. This is the first such reconnaissance drone in the region since the MQ-9 Reaper incident. According to available data, today’s aircraft route is markedly different from that followed by drones before the MQ-9 incident.
It is noted that the distance of the drone flight from the coast has increased markedly. Previously, an aircraft of the same model kept at a distance of 80 km from the Crimean coast, but a drone from March 17 kept a distance of up to 150 km. In addition, the Global Hawk performed loitering over Romania, although previously US aircraft had not performed such maneuvers.
