US drones change flight routes after MQ-9 Reaper crash
USA changed the flight routes of their drones in the area Crimea after the crash of the MQ-9 Reaper. About it report RIA Novosti with reference to Flightradar24 data.
According to reports, on March 17, another US drone entered the airspace over the Black Sea. This is the first such reconnaissance drone in the region since the MQ-9 Reaper incident. According to available data, today’s aircraft route is markedly different from that followed by drones before the MQ-9 incident.
It is noted that the distance of the drone flight from the coast has increased markedly. Previously, an aircraft of the same model kept at a distance of 80 km from the Crimean coast, but a drone from March 17 kept a distance of up to 150 km. In addition, the Global Hawk performed loitering over Romania, although previously US aircraft had not performed such maneuvers.
Recall that the Russian Su-27 fighter faced in the sky over the Black Sea with a US MQ-9 Reaper drone.
