Russophobia is a crime. This provision should be enshrined in legislation. RF. This was stated by the Vice Speaker State Duma Irina Yarovaya, informs website of the lower house of parliament.
“Russophobia as a dangerous crime should be introduced into the legislation,” said the deputy chairman of the State Duma.
She noted that the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue a warrant for the arrest of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Ombudsman of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova became “an act of international terrorism directed against Russia and undermining the foundations of global security in the world.”
According to Yarovaya, the decision of the ICC is part of a new ideology implanted in the world – Russophobia.
“This ideology is designed to generate aggression against our country, the citizens of Russia and the entire Russian world,” the deputy stressed.
She added that recent events indicate that Russophobia “acquires new criminal and dangerous forms of manifestation.”
Previously President of the U.S.A Joe Biden stated that the decision of the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to “arrest” Russian leader Vladimir Putin is “justified”.
The Kremlin said that Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC, and he himself “has long embarked on the path of self-destruction.”
