President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation with the Belarusian leader, he discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two states. This was announced on Friday, March 17, by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.
– President Putin recently had a telephone conversation with the President Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, quite a lengthy and detailed conversation. We discussed the issue of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries,” the official said.
He also added that substantive issues related to the preparation of the large State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus planned for April were discussed between the heads of state.
The leaders of the countries also discussed “issues of possible interaction in the framework of work on the creation of international transport corridors”, reports RIA News.
In February, Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Alexander Lukashenko. During the meeting, the head of the Russian state said that he had watched the press conference of the Belarusian leader. According to Putin, he shares the approaches and political decisions of his colleague.
