The Bundestag spoke about Scholz’s disorder
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is losing touch with reality. This statement was made by the leader of the opposition party Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Friedrich Merz, writes RIA Novosti with reference to the T-online portal.
Thus, he commented on the last speech of the head of the German government in the Bundestag. Merz believes that the current leadership of the country cannot work properly for the benefit of the German people.
The leader of the German opposition stressed that Scholz’s perception of the current situation in Germany is alarming, as it does not correspond to reality.
“Mr. Chancellor, you are losing touch with reality in our country,” Merz said.
The politician also accused the ruling coalition in Germany of constant internal conflicts on a number of issues. He believes that these feuds prevent them from making adequate decisions.
“Do not deny that you constantly quarrel,” said the head of the Christian Democratic Union.
Earlier, Olaf Scholz, during his speech in the Bundestag, said that Germany over the past eight months has gained independence from gas and oil supplies from Russia. He also noted that the fighting in Ukraine will again become a central topic at the upcoming Council of the European Union, which will be held March 23-24.
