Russia will not be able to achieve the lifting of Western sanctions without execution of orders International Criminal Court (ICC) on the arrest of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This opinion was expressed by the former Ambassador-at-Large, who headed the Office of Global Criminal Justice at the US State Department. Stephen Rapp.

“This makes Putin an outcast. If he goes somewhere, he can be arrested. This will never pass. Russia will not be able to get exemption from sanctions without complying with warrants,” Rapp was quoted as saying by the agency. Reuters.

Recall that the court in The Hague issued an “arrest warrant” for Putin yesterday. Russia has already stated that they are not going to implement this decision, since they do not recognize the ICC. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev commented on the news with a toilet paper badge.
