Protests in France: Streets of major cities are on fire
Currently, the streets of large cities are on fire. After the decision of the authorities to pass a law on raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 years without a vote of parliament, thousands of citizens took to the streets and began to burn everything in their path.
Cars, dumpsters, scaffolding were on fire… Law enforcement officers disperse people from hoses, while the protesters do not stop. Some residents of France remembered in social networks the song of the great French revolution “Ah! Ça ira”.
In the French capital, law enforcement officers detained 73 people. Currently, authorities are chasing several hundred demonstrators who move along fashionable streets, where, in particular, the presidential residence is located.
Protesters overturn numerous trash cans. What is happening frightens tourists who scatter in panic.
