Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the reconstruction of the center of Mariupol is planned to be completed before the end of the year. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Khusnullin, there are many buildings in the city center that have the status of architectural monuments. The politician stressed that the central area of the city was badly damaged as a result of shelling.
“For a long time they thought, to demolish, not to demolish. Decided to save, made all the design and estimate documentation. We want to finish the center by the end of the year, at least the facade part. The center is very beautiful, now we will pass,” Khusnullin shared.
Earlier, Putin also inspected the restored Philharmonic building in Mariupol. Putin examined the building both inside and outside. He saw the main entrance after reconstruction, as well as rooms for classes and storage of tools, an assembly hall.
The President of the Russian Federation also visited the coastline of Mariupol in the area of the yacht club.
