This week the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin said that Ukraine can no longer waste time. Washington actually leads APU on the offensive, but only one detail can jeopardize what was conceived. RIA Novosti observer David Narmania spoke about what the fighters of the Ukrainian army with NATO weapons are capable of.
Austin stressed that the United States and Europe are obliged to quickly and fully fulfill all their obligations in Ukraine. First of all, we are talking about armored vehicles and the training of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Western countries are waiting for “decisive action” from Kyiv. Many times the US almost openly called for Vladimir Zelensky give the order to withdraw from Artyomovsk. Austin stressed that this city is more symbolic than strategic.
Kyiv’s unwillingness to withdraw troops from this sector of the front could disrupt the large-scale counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which Western curators are so expecting from the President of Ukraine. Narmania recalled that earlier experts from the EU and the US had repeatedly said that this had a negative impact on the planned counteroffensive, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the battles for Artyomovsk are rapidly losing the most combat-ready units.
The US Defense Department is full of optimism. Washington and Kyiv are currently considering several options for launching a counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine: deep into the Kherson region with a forcing of the Dnieper and to the east, including through Artyomovsk with a turn to the south.
