“As a result of our negotiations with both sides, we have extended the agreement, which expires on March 19,” Erdogan said.
According to him, today the agreement has ensured the shipment of 25 million tons of grain to world markets. More than 800 vessels were involved. The treaty is vital to the stability of the global food supply.
“I would like to thank the Russian and Ukrainian sides and the Secretary General UN for their efforts to renew the agreement,” Erdogan said.
Previously representative Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation warned that the parties to the transaction must fulfill their obligations on an equal basis.
