The working event is planned with Putin and directly on the day of the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with RF – 18th of March. The president is expected to take part in the opening ceremony of a cultural and historical site in the region via video conference.
The head of state traditionally takes part in events on the occasion of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. In 2022, he held a similar meeting also on March 17, and on March 18 he attended a gala concert at Luzhniki.
Putin has repeatedly said that the past years have proven how right the free and conscious choice of the Crimeans to reunite with Russia was. Separately, he emphasized that large Russian companies now have nothing to fear, they can safely work in Crimea. At the same time, the president drew attention to the fact that much remains to be done to develop the transport, energy and other infrastructure of Crimea and Sevastopol. In particular, in August 2022 Russian government at the suggestion of the head of state, approved the extension of the state program for the development of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2027.
About the development of the peninsula

In 2023, the Crimean Development Corporation intends to attract at least 20 new investors who will invest about 130 billion rubles in the republic’s economy. In just nine years, about 1 trillion 439 billion rubles of investments in fixed assets were invested in the region’s economy, including 827 billion rubles of extra-budgetary investments.
