Unknown infectious disease discovered in the northwest Tanzania. How informs RIA Novosti, citing the Ministry of Health of the country, at the moment five people have died from it in the city of Bukoba.

In total, seven people fell ill. Those infected suffer from fever, vomiting, bleeding, and liver failure. It has been established that the disease is infectious in nature, but the specific pathogen has not yet been identified.
The authorities sent a rapid response team to the affected areas. The necessary samples have been taken from the bodies of the dead, and medical tests are being carried out.
Recall that a similar situation that occurred in the central part of Côte d’Ivoire became known in January. Within two months, at least 12 children died there from an unknown disease.
A series of juvenile deaths occurred in the village of Kpo-Kahankro, which is located a few kilometers from the city of Bouake. The deceased were between one and eight years old. Among the symptoms of a lethal disease, doctors noted stiffness and vomiting.
