A serious accident involving a motorcyclist occurred in the early morning of May 10 in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg. Two people were injured.
At about 4:50 am, a motorcycle and a GAZelle car collided at the intersection of Sofiyskaya Street and Aleksandrovskaya Fermy Avenue, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region told Fontanka. On the recording from the surveillance camera, published in the group «Accident and emergency | Saint Petersburg”, it is clear that the minibus went to a U-turn through a double solid line, and the motorcyclist, who was driving noticeably faster than the GAZelle in the same lane, flew into her side. The accident, judging by the video, happened at 4:46 am on Alexandrovskaya Ferma Avenue, just behind Ostrovsky security at the intersection.
From the blow, the biker flew over the hood of the GAZelle and fell onto the road. The minibus completed the U-turn, and only then stopped. According to the head office, as a result of an accident, the driver and passenger of the motorcycle, both born in 1995, were injured. They were hospitalized in a state of moderate severity.
