Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners shot down 11 out of 16 Shahed launched by Russians at night
This is reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As noted, at about 21:00 on March 17, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type.
The attack was carried out in two directions: from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.
“The forces and means of the air commands “Center”, “East” and “West” of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 11 attack UAVs in the central, western and eastern regions, respectively,” the report says.
As reported, late in the evening of March 17, Russian troops attacked the city of Novomoskovsk with kamikaze drones in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Three of them destroyed air defense systems, but two hit a critical infrastructure facility, there is serious damage.
