On the night of March 18 RF attacked Ukraine with a large number of drones. An air alert was announced in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as in the Poltava, Kharkov, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Nikolaev, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil and Lvov regions. In the Air Force APU Ukrayinska Pravda was confirmed that the Russians had attacked Shahed drones from the north and southeast directions.

The Kiev regional military administration urged residents to stay in safe places until the end of the “air raid” signal. Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office, wrote on Telegram: “Balalaikas are being shot down by air defense forces. But don’t ignore the alarm.”

Reported on the work of the Ukrainian air defense in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Three UAVs were shot down over the Dnepropetrovsk region, presumably – Shahed-131/136, reported Air Command East.

At the same time, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak, reported that two drones hit a critical infrastructure facility in the city of Novomoskovsk, and “serious damage” as a result of this. Earlier, the mayor of the city of Novomoskovsk, Sergei Reznik, reported explosions in the city, and Ukrainian Telegram channels published a photo from a place with a rising pillar of fire.

In Kyiv, all kamikaze drones that attacked the capital of Ukraine were destroyed. This was announced on Telegram by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (GVA) Serhiy Popko. “The enemy once again launched Shahed loitering ammunition in the direction of Kiev,” he wrote. “Our air defense forces destroyed all air targets. Once again, we thank them for their excellent work. According to information at the moment, there are no casualties and destruction. The information is being specified.”
