The Summer courses They still have great potential. The International University of Andalusia (UNIA) and the Unicaja Foundation have renewed their collaboration agreement for the implementation of joint actions that promote research, training and the development of cultural activities.
UNIA Rector, Jose Ignacio Garciaand the president of the Unicaja Banking Foundation, Jose M. Dominguez, have signed the agreement that gives continuity to the lines of joint work between both institutions. Also present at the signing of the new agreement were the CEO of the Unicaja Banking Foundation, Sergio Corraland the director of the Technological headquarters of the UNIA In Malaga, Concha Travesedo.
Through this alliance, we will collaborate in the development of educational programs such as the Summer courses. The new agreement contemplates a call for 120 scholarships for the more than 45 Summer Courses and meetings that will be held between the months of July and October at the UNIA headquarters in Malaga, Seville, La Rábida and Baeza. This scholarship program will be offered in the modalities of enrollment, lodging and maintenance. In addition, the Unicaja Foundation and the UNIA will jointly hold two Summer Courses at the technology headquarters in Malaga.
Likewise, through the agreement other postgraduate courses, conferences, seminars and congresses will be organized; publications will be promoted; and actions of scientific and technical advice, and training of teaching and research staff will be developed. The union with the UNIA responds to the interest of the Unicaja Foundation in promoting culture, education and research through informative activities that promote knowledge among all citizens.
An alliance for summer courses
In recent years, Fundación Unicaja has collaborated with UNIA in organizing exhibitions and activities such as the Conference on the Economy of Well-being and Social Choice held in 2018, which were attended by internationally renowned researchers.
In addition, this alliance has materialized in joint research projects in different areas of knowledge, among the most outstanding, the continued collaboration for the organization of the popular UNIA Summer Courses.
