On October 28, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the end of partial mobilization.

“As a result of the offensive actions of the Wagner assault detachments, with the support of artillery and aviation of the Southern Group of Forces, the liberation of the city of Artemovsk was completed in the Artemovsk tactical direction,” the ministry said.
The President of Ukraine denies this information.
“The Ukrainian military is in Bakhmut, at which points I won’t share, Bakhmut has not been captured by the Russian Federation today,” Zelensky said at the G7 summit in Hiroshima.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Ukrainian leader compared the situation in Bakhmut to Hiroshima, which was hit by a nuclear bomb.
“What happened in Hiroshima, and the destruction that we have … I will say frankly, I will say openly – the photos of the destruction of Hiroshima remind me of Bakhmut,” Zelensky said.
US President Joe Biden also commented on the situation.
– There are discussions around Bakhmut whether he is lost or not. The truth is that Russia suffered losses of about a hundred thousand people in Bakhmut. It’s hard to make up for it,” Joe Biden said.
U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the U.S. has no objection to Ukraine using its weapons to attack Crimea.
“We said that we would not allow Ukraine to use American and Western weapons to strike at Russia. And we believe that Crimea is Ukraine,” Sullivan said.
Europe and America are actively discussing the transfer of F-16 fighters to Kyiv.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called the training of Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 a message from the Russian Federation against a protracted conflict. In his opinion, the peace plan “cannot be associated with a simple freezing of the conflict.”
At the same time, the chancellor said that Germany’s participation in the possible supply of F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv is not discussed.
“Everyone knows that we don’t even have such aircraft,” NTV quoted the chancellor as saying on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
Joe Biden said he does not expect the participation of the F-16 in the upcoming Ukrainian counteroffensive. He also stated that Kyiv would not use F-16s to attack Russian territory. According to Biden, Zelensky assured him of this.
The US leader also said that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine “are not subject to negotiations.”
“Together with our G7 partners, we support Ukraine and will continue to do so in the future,” Biden promised.
