The report on suspicion against Yevgeny Sobolev says that he headed the illegally created on the basis of the Kherson “Northern Correctional Colony No. 90” “Administration of the Service for the Execution of Punishments in the Kherson Region” (USIN). As the “leader” of USIN, he forced other subordinates to work for the enemy. And shortly before the liberation of Kherson, Yevgeny Sobolev fled to the occupied territory of the region.
In turn, the ex-rescuer, a resident of Kherson, Alexander Goloshivets, is suspected of having voluntarily agreed to become the head of the illegally created “fire and rescue department of the city of Alyoshki” – as the occupiers call Oleshki.
For these crimes, both suspects face imprisonment for a period of 12 to 15 years – under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the end of last year, Yevgeny Sobolev was informed of the first suspicion of treason. In particular, in March 2022, he voluntarily launched the invaders into the territory of the “Northern Correctional Colony No. 90”. In her infirmary, the invaders were treated, and the colony was used as a warehouse for food and cigarettes. Sobolev also helped to repair the military equipment of the invaders and organized recreation for them.
In July 2022, Yevgeny Sobolev was fired from the post of head of colony No. 90. For high treason, he faces life imprisonment.
As the TsZhR reported, in June 2022, on Senyavin Street in the then-occupied Kherson, there were assassination attempt on the head of the USIN in the Kherson region, collaborator Yevgeny Sobolev, who was injured in both legs.
