The Minister of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, Loles López, has inaugurated this Friday the first residence for people over Santa Olalla del Cala, which has 36 residential places.
Accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Antonio Plaza, López has seen first-hand the residence for people greater municipally owned ‘Santa Eulalia’, which is managed by the Reifs Group, and which opens its doors after more than ten years of hard work by the mayor, who has expressed his satisfaction at the completion of this project, which is “a dream fulfilled” thanks to the “titanic” effort of the entire government team.
After remarking the dedication of Plaza to its neighbors and neighbors, López recalled that when Antonio Plaza arrived at the mayor’s office he found “a stopped work, a half-built building even had to face changes in regulations.” For this reason, he has praised the commitment of the government team to obtain this residence. It is a “home” for its users and the Junta de Andalucía, for its part, has collaborated by speeding up the processing of the resolution of operation and the resolution of accreditation of places as much as possible, as the counselor has emphasized.
For his part, the mayor of Santa Olalla has assured that this center will be “a reference” for the region given its modern facilities, which have all the corresponding energy efficiency certifications, while thanking the counselor for the support and regional administration support.
Likewise, López, who has supported the commitment to a personalized care model, has stressed that older people should be able to choose how they want to live. From the Board they advocate providing them with all the resources: residential care, day centers, active participation centers (CPA), home help service and telecare, etc., since “our elderly are our greatest treasure and we want them to have the better care and are free to choose which resources they want to use.” Therefore, today is a joyous day in Santa Olalla, because we enjoy new, modern and welcoming services”, the counselor concluded.
Previously, the Minister for Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, Loles López, made an institutional visit to the Santa Olalla del Cala Town Hall, where she signed the book of honor and exchanged impressions with the government team.
