The eviction of St. Petersburg artist Nelson Iskanderyan has been temporarily suspended. He was given time to complete the necessary paperwork in order to continue living in the basement on Polozov Street, where he has been living for the past 12 years.
“Good afternoon, dear friends! Today is the 13th, etc. Good news! Mr. Piotrovsky joined the case and made a pause. You need to register and move on. Thank you all so much, thank you so much!” Nelson shared his joy on social networks.
Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Boris Piotrovsky modestly commented on the artist’s statement to Fontanka: “Together we are looking for a way out of this situation, it’s too early to say anything.”
Earlier, Fontanka wrote that Nelson Iskanderyan could lose the last corner in which he huddled for 12 years. Last week, he received a request from the property control committee to leave the basement by May 15th. He signed a guarantee that he would move out and got together go to the Crimea.
