Escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict
Palestinian-Israeli conflict escalated in January following two attacks by Palestinians against civilians in Israel and a preceding Israeli military raid in the West Bank, which also claimed the lives of innocent people, according to the Palestinian side. Israeli government after the attacks decided to simplify the procedure for citizens to obtain permits to carry weapons.
On February 2 and 13, after shelling from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Air Force launched retaliatory airstrikes, as stated, according to the centers of production of weapons. And in late February, riots broke out again in the West Bank. After the killing of two Israeli civilians, Israeli settlers began vandalizing Palestinian houses and cars, which turned into new victims on both sides. After that, the parties agreed to de-escalate the situation.
