On the northern alluvium of Vasilievsky Island, work resumed on the morning of May 22, local residents reported on social networks. The press service of LSR Group confirmed this information, emphasizing that at present no prohibitions have been imposed on this.
The telegram channel of opponents of the implementation of the project “We are against the northern alluvium” began to report on the resumption of work from 10 a.m. Also, videos were published there, which show that equipment is moving and working on the territory.
The press service of LSR Group commented on the situation:
“Now the site is undergoing a sand spill to level the negative impact of winds, repair of equipment and other technological measures. No prohibitions have been imposed on work to raise the elevation of land plots at the moment, with the exception of the traditional restriction on water work during the spawning period. LSR Group, as a law-abiding company, has strictly observed the pause in work due to spawning throughout the years and has a responsible attitude to all other official rules for the implementation of work. The company is also always ready to provide all possible assistance to supervisory, law enforcement and investigative authorities.”
Recall, on May 5, the Investigative Committee on behalf of the head of department Alexander Bastrykin aroused a criminal case on alluvium under article 246 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (on violation of environmental protection rules), but it was canceled by the prosecutor’s office. On the morning of May 14, the chairman of the UK personally, alone, undertook an attempt to visit the territory of the northern alluvium, but the guards asked him to leave.
On the same day became knownthat the criminal case under Article 246 was reopened, and two more were added to it: under Article 203 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Excess of authority by a private detective or an employee of a private security organization who has a certificate of a private security guard in the performance of their official duties”) and article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Abuse of official powers) in relation to officials of the Smolny.
