NATO can deploy up to 300,000 troops on the border with Russia – media

Such action requires the coordination and effort of 30 NATO members to provide soldiers, training sites, large quantities of weapons, equipment and ammunition.
However, with the coordination of actions, the publication emphasizes, difficulties may arise, since many countries of the Alliance are already concerned about insufficient stocks of ammunition, the replenishment of which requires time and finances.
Politico writes that the military leadership of NATO countries should submit updated regional defense plans. Alliance officials are putting forward the idea that up to 300,000 troops should guard its borders with the Russian Federation, the newspaper reports.
It is noted that the first echelon of NATO troops may consist of 100,000 soldiers ready to move out within 10 days. It may include military personnel from Poland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, following the meeting of the Contact Group in the Ramstein format, said that the Alliance allies are ready to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems, armored vehicles and ammunition.
