A fire at an increased number of complexity is extinguished in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg on May 1. Local residents note that on weekdays, firefighters risked getting stuck at the entrance.

As reported in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in St. Petersburg, the metal hangar on Prinevskaya Street, 9, is on fire throughout the area. Firefighters were called at 14:42, twenty minutes later the fire was assigned an additional number 1-BIS – the first of five increased numbers of complexity.

“Information about the victims has not been received at the moment,” the ministry said.

32 firefighters were involved in extinguishing, these are seven calculations. As a Fontanka reader notes, on weekdays it would be difficult for even a smaller amount of equipment to get close to the hangar. The neighborhood is usually parked.

“If it were at night and on weekdays, the firefighters would not have gone there,” says Sergey and shows the difficulties that one car of the emergency department had previously encountered.
