The FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard have stopped the work of four dozen underground weapons workshops throughout Russia. Operational activities were held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol and dozens of other regions. This was announced on May 17 by the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.

165 residents of 44 subjects of the country were involved in the restoration of the combat properties of civilian weapons and their sale, RIA Novosti reported.

Almost four hundred firearms were found and confiscated from underground gunsmiths, including three machine guns, 46 machine guns, 36 submachine guns, more than a hundred rifles, carbines and shotguns, more than two hundred pistols and revolvers, as well as more than 71 thousand cartridges. The Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system, the Fagot anti-tank guided missile, two Konkurs anti-tank missile systems, 19 grenade launchers and flamethrowers were also found.
