Four workers died in Mytishchi while working in a sewer. On May 22, the Investigative Committee of the Moscow Region announced the initiation of a criminal case on violation of labor protection requirements (part 3 of article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The incident occurred in a collector located near an apartment building on Borisovka Street. The investigation believes that the workers died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The men did not have the personal protective equipment necessary for such work.
