The mother of an illegally detained Ukrainian, Marina Ryazanova, says that her son is accused of participating in a public formation that helped border guards on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea.
“From 2015 to 2017, he was in a volunteer formation in the Kherson region. Together with the border guards, they stood and were on duty at the checkpoint. I don’t remember the name of this battalion, perhaps Asker. And from 2017 to 2019 Vitaly had a contract [с ВСУ], he was in the Donetsk region, in Avdiivka. There is almost no information about the state of health of Vitaly Ryazanov from his relatives. The Russian investigation provided Vitaly with a free lawyer. From time to time it is possible to deliver a parcel to the Crimean volunteers.
