The circumstances of the death of a 14-year-old pupil of the St. Petersburg center for the promotion of family education in the Leningrad region will be investigated as part of a criminal case. The investigation sees negligence in the performance of professional duties.
According to the regional Investigative Committee, on May 20, a case was initiated under the article on causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties.
“According to preliminary data, the minor died as a result of poisoning with an unidentified substance, the exact cause of his death will be established based on the results of a forensic medical examination,” the department said.
