An investigation is underway into the death of a 10-year-old boy who was not hospitalized in Kolpino. This was reported to Fontanka in the press service of the Health Committee on May 7.
In Smolny, they clarified that for the first time the mother called an ambulance for the child on May 5 at 21:30. According to the Petersburger, the boy had bloating and a single vomiting. “The mother refused the hospitalization proposed by the doctor. Treatment was recommended, if the condition worsened, the ambulance was called again, ”the Komzdrav said.
A second call was received on May 6 at 15:48 with complaints of abdominal pain in a child. According to Smolny, the mother “categorically refused hospitalization.” “The refusals of 05.05.23 and 06.05.23 from hospitalization were issued in accordance with the procedure established by law. At 5:20 p.m., the child was found by the mother with no signs of life. Conducted resuscitation by the ambulance crew without effect. The biological death of the child was ascertained, ”the Smolny added.
The exact cause of death of the child will be established by a forensic examination.
According to Fontanka, the family is familiar to social services. A Petersburger was brought to administrative responsibility for failure to fulfill parental rights. In total, the woman has 8 children, but in relation to three she is deprived of parental rights.
