The I All-Russian Student Olympiad of the Russian Geographical Society in Ethnography was held in two stages on the basis of the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after Ilya Ulyanov (UlGPU). The first correspondence round took place on February 8, 2023, on the Day of Russian Science. — There was no such event in Russia that would draw our attention to such an important area for the country as knowledge about peoples, knowledge about religion, culture, our identity. This is the first Olympiad. The fact that you are in this hall is the result of serious work, the result of the preliminary stage, which was attended by more than 600 applicants from each federal district, from many regions of Russia.
