Bilateral meeting of representatives of Russia and Zimbabwe

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that Russia and Zimbabwe are united by the understanding of sanctions by Western states. But by overcoming economic restrictions, countries become stronger. Volodin expressed this opinion at a meeting with Chairman of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe Jacob Mudenda. About this on March 19 writes RIA News.

“Zimbabwe knows well what sanctions are, and this brings us closer,” the speaker of the State Duma said.

According to him, relations between countries should be built on the basis of respect and mutually beneficial cooperation. Russia stands for a just multipolar world, he summed up.

In Moscow on Sunday started the second parliamentary conference “Russia Africa”. Parliamentarians, businessmen, representatives of the scientific community take part in its work more than 40 delegations from African countries. On the sidelines of the conference, Volodin will meet with a number of heads of delegations, including speakers of parliaments.

Earlier, Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU-PF, announced its desire to become BRICS member and abandon the international interbank payment system SWIFT.
