Former President of the United States Donald Trump announced on Friday, March 17, that he had returned to Facebook (the social network is banned in Russia, owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned in the Russian Federation). He made such an announcement on his page on this social network.
The politician posted a video with one of his past speeches. In it, he says the phrase: “Sorry to keep you waiting. Difficult case, very difficult.” Former president’s words leads TASS.
Trump’s account was suspended from Facebook after his supporters stormed the Capitol in January 2021. At the beginning of 2023, it was unlocked. However, Trump did not appear on this social network until March 17.
Twitter account of the former head of the United States unlocked in december 2022. In a few hours, more than 25 million users signed up for it. The politician’s page on the social network has been restored with all previous entries. It was decided to return Trump’s account based on the results of the survey. Of the 15 million respondents, 51.8% voted to restore the page.
