The Russian government will extend the programs “Zemsky doctor” and “Zemsky paramedic” to the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. This will allow attracting at least 250 mid-level doctors and medical workers to hospitals in new regions. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a Cabinet meeting.
Doctors participating in the programs will receive 1 million rubles each when moving to new regions of the Russian Federation, paramedics, midwives and nurses – 500 thousand rubles each. For those who will work in remote and hard-to-reach areas, such payments will increase one and a half times – up to 1.5 million and 750 thousand rubles. respectively.
