The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation drew attention to the statement of Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, which contains a refusal to grant Russia permission to participate in the investigation of sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. This was announced on Saturday, March 18, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
In a comment by Zakharova, published on the official website of the department, it is indicated that, despite the refusal of the Danish side to jointly investigate sabotage, the Russian Foreign Ministry will continue to seek answers from Copenhagen to the questions posed earlier. She stressed that Russia would not let the investigation of sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines be swept under the carpet.
In addition, Zakharova said that to date, the Danish authorities have not given “any intelligible answer” to any of the numerous appeals of the Russian side. She added that Denmark did not provide any results from the investigation. The Russian Foreign Ministry insists that only a comprehensive and open international investigation with the mandatory participation of Russian representatives can provide the public with reliable and objective data on the causes, perpetrators and customers of sabotage.
As Profile.ru reported, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations on Tuesday said that Russia showed to the Security Council and the UN General Assembly a copy of the correspondence with Denmark, Sweden and Germany on their investigation into the blowing up of the Nord Stream gas pipelines and ” Nord Stream-2″. According to him, this correspondence demonstrates countries in the UN that the allegations that these three states informed Russia about the progress of their investigations into sabotage are untrue.
Over the past few days, several authoritative Western publications have published insider information on the explosions at Nord Stream. Most of the materials feature some kind of “pro-Ukrainian group”. The Kremlin counts everything these publications “coordinated injection”.
Explosions at once on two Russian gas pipelines, Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, occurred at the end of September 2022. The Kremlin believes that this is a terrorist attack on the energy infrastructure.
