Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows Rosselkhoznadzor to control agricultural chemicals and pesticides imported from abroad in temporary storage warehouses. About this on Saturday, March 18, informs prime agency.

The document allows control over pesticides and agrochemicals not only at specialized checkpoints across the state border, but also at temporary storage warehouses. The Rosselkhoznadzor will compile a list of such warehouses, and their technological capabilities will be taken into account. The list of warehouses will be coordinated with the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

The law will come into force on July 1, 2023. It will optimize control and supervision procedures for imported pesticides and agrochemicals, as well as unload checkpoints at the border.

In December 2022, the bill on the control of imported agrochemicals in temporary warehouses was supported by the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues.
