Russian leader Vladimir Putin has appointed Major General of Justice Alexei Naida as the military prosecutor of the Joint Group of Forces. The head of state signed a corresponding decree. Document posted on the online legal information portal on Friday 17 March.
“To appoint Major General of Justice Aleksey Vasilyevich Naida as military prosecutor of the Joint Group of Forces (Forces) for a five-year term, releasing him from his post,” the document says. Prior to that, Naida was the military prosecutor of the Black Sea Fleet.
Alexey Naida was born in 1974 in Leningrad. He graduated from the St. Petersburg Suvorov Military School and the Military University of the Ministry of Defense. Since 1996, he worked in the military prosecutor’s office of the garrison level of the Eastern Military District and the Pacific Fleet. In 2015, he became the first deputy military prosecutor of the Southern Military District, later – the military prosecutor of the Black Sea Fleet.
