Sustained heat should be expected in Moscow from March 20. Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, told about this.
According to her, the term “meteorological spring” means that the average daily temperature outside the window for a long time keeps at a positive mark. At the same time, the snow in Moscow will completely melt only by the end of this month or the beginning of April, transmits Sunday, March 19, “Evening Moscow”.
The meteorologist noted that March this year has several features. First, there was an overabundance of rainfall. Secondly, it has become warmer than the climatic norm. The first half of the month turned out to be close to normal, but then warm days allowed the average daily temperature to more steadily reach a positive background, the expert explained.
Earlier, the head of the Meteo prognostic center said that on March 18 and 19 in the Russian capital temperature fluctuation is expected. He added that there will be sun, morning frost and daytime temperatures around +1…+4°C. It was also reported that since mid-March throughout Russia warming is predicted. The area of the country will be colored in red and deep red on synoptic maps, because the temperature is expected to be well above the climatic norm.
