
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation approved bills aimed at ensuring the safety of workers in the coal industry. Changes are proposed to be made to the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO).

The Cabinet of Ministers also supported a bill that regulates the provision of training for additional professional programs for employees of organizations for the extraction and processing of coal (oil shale). The document will also be submitted to the State Duma. The project proposes to conduct training not once every five years, but once every three years.
President of Russia back in 2022 gave instructions to ensure safety in coal mines. In particular, he instructed the government, together with the State Duma, to ensure the introduction of amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses that provide for increased liability of employers for violation of obligations under the contract in terms of labor protection of workers who are employed in work with harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions, including underground work. .
