The Russian government will allocate funds for scientific research in the field of healthcare. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the distribution of more than 500 million rubles. The support is provided within the framework of the federal project “Medical Science for Humans”.

Federal funding will help create new medical devices, develop drugs based on cell technologies and tissue engineering technologies, as well as conduct their clinical research, reported on the government website on Sunday, March 19. As a result, the quality and accessibility of medical care for people will increase.

The research will be organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University and institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA).

Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation noted that the Russian authorities still have a lot to do to quality improvement medical care in the regions. And this applies to all institutions from large federal medical centers to district clinics and FAPs. Besides, needs to be strengthened work to accelerate the introduction of artificial intelligence in medicine. In total, doctors have already made about 9 million diagnoses, taking into account the recommendations of artificial intelligence. Specialists take into account the data received from the system and prescribe treatment.
