In 2022, the Thai authorities decided to increase the visa-free stay of foreign tourists in Thailand from 30 to 45 days. Now this regime can be extended.

This statement was made by the deputy head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Siripakorn Cheavsamut. About this on Friday, March 17, reported on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.

“This issue is being considered. With a high degree of probability, visa relief will be extended,” he said. Cheavsamut believes that this step will have a positive impact on the Russian tourist flow.

Thailand for 2.5 months of 2023 was visited by more than 480 thousand Russian citizens. Thus, the tourist flow exceeded the data of the entire 2022.
