Chinese air force exercises near Taiwan

Over the past 24 hours, the Taiwan Defense Ministry has detected 26 aircraft and four ships of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in the Taiwan Strait zone.
15 units of military aircraft of the PLA entered the air defense identification zone to the southeast and southwest of the island and violated the so-called median line of the Taiwan Strait, transmits TASS, referring to the report of the military department.
Last summer, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi paid a visit to Taipei. In China, they called it interference in the internal affairs of the PRC. After visiting Pelosi Island, the PLA regularly sends ships to Taiwan.
Earlier, on March 17, Taiwan’s military also spotted in the adjacent islandovu region 15 aircraft and three ships of the People’s Liberation Army of China. Five aircraft crossed the airspace in the area of the so-called median line in the Taiwan Strait.
