In the Nagatinskaya floodplain in Moscow, a beach complex is being built, where there will be five outdoor heated pools. It will appear on the territory adjacent to the Dream Island amusement park, says in a publication on the official website of the mayor of the capital.
The construction site was visited by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. “The facility we are currently at is the largest open beach area in Moscow and Russia with outdoor heated pools, which will simultaneously accommodate about 2.5 thousand people,” he said.
The construction of the beach complex, located in the waters of the Kozhukhovsky backwater, began in September 2022. The work is carried out at the expense of a private investor.
The area of the complex will be 41 thousand square meters. m. In addition to swimming pools, visitors will have the accompanying infrastructure, including beach chairs, changing rooms, showers, restaurants and cafes.
The beach complex in the Nagatinskaya floodplain should receive the first visitors this summer.
