Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law toughening penalties for repeated entry into important government facilities. Document published on the official online portal of legal information on Saturday, March 18.

Criminal liability is established for repeated illegal entry into important state facilities, facilities on communications and special cargo. Violators face a fine of up to 700 thousand rubles. or imprisonment for up to four years.

The authors of the initiative are State Duma deputies Alexander Khinshtein, Vasily Piskarev, Irina Yarovaya and other parliamentarians.

Bills on toughening responsibility for penetration on state objects submitted to the State Duma in October 2022. For repeated entry into important state facilities protected by the Russian Guard, it was supposed to introduce criminal liability – a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, restriction of liberty for up to two years, or imprisonment for the same period.
