The participants of the round-the-world expedition on a unique sailing trimaran were evacuated to Chile along the path of the great Russian navigators due to a ship breakdown.

“Travelers reported that the trimaran had broken steering and lost control,” the report said.
The Chilean Navy and a Brazilian ship set off to save the expedition members, which was heading towards Chile and picked up the team. At the moment, everything is fine with the sailors, they are in Chile.
The round-the-world expedition began in July 2021. An inflatable sailing trimaran with a main sail area of 36 square meters was created specifically for the expedition. It is 12 meters long and 8 meters wide. The ship left Kronstadt, it is managed by a resident of Tomsk Evgeny Kovalevsky and Stanislav Berezkin from Novosibirsk. They intended to circumnavigate the Earth in two years. However, so far they are hampered by breakdowns on the trimaran.
