The reconstruction of the center of Mariupol, where there are many monument buildings, is planned to be completed by the end of 2023, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin told President Vladimir Putin during a trip around the city by car. “The center is badly damaged, in the central part of the buildings there are monuments. <..>We want to finish the center by the end of the year, at least the facade part. The center is very beautiful,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.
Khusnullin also showed Putin the Philharmonic building, which was restored in just three months. The troupe has already been assembled, it will be headed by a leader from the Stavropol Territory.
The Kremlin reported that the head of state arrived in Mariupol by helicopter. Then Putin got behind the wheel of a car to look around the city, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister. In the Nevsky microdistrict, the President met with the townspeople. In addition, he assessed the state of the coastline of Mariupol.
Putin later accepted participation in the meetingdedicated to the special operation. The event took place at the command post in Rostov-on-Don.
