The Indian authorities have imposed restrictions on the stay of Russian tourists in the country. The maximum length of stay can no longer exceed 180 days in any one calendar year. This was announced by the Russian Embassy in India on its Twitter page.

“The period of continuous stay in India for Russian citizens on electronic tourist visas should not exceed 90 days, and the total duration of stay in one calendar year should not exceed 180 days,” the diplomatic mission said in a statement. Its on Friday, March 17, quotes RIA News.

The changes apply to already issued e-visas. The embassy recommended that Russian tourists update previously issued documents.
