Icing for Easter cake

This year Orthodox Russians will celebrate Easter on April 16th. One of the main traditions of the holiday is the preparation of Easter cakes with icing. Although many housewives prefer to make their own pastries, few people get the perfect color glaze that will not crumble when cut.

Experienced chefs shared a recipe that will help you prepare a perfect cake.

Glaze Ingredients:

  • powdered sugar – 100 g;
  • gelatin – 1 teaspoon;
  • water – 4 tablespoons.

Cooking

  1. Pour gelatin with two tablespoons of water at room temperature and leave to swell for 20 minutes.
  2. Pour powdered sugar into a saucepan, add two tablespoons of water, mix and put on fire. Cook the mixture until it boils, stirring constantly. When the first bubbles appear, the powder container must be removed from the heat.
  3. After that, you can mix sugar with swollen gelatin and beat with a mixer at maximum speed. Glaze is ready.
