
On the eve of his visit to Russia, Chinese President Xi Jinping published author’s article in “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”. The politician pointed out that relations between Russia and China are based primarily on the principles of “non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-direction against third parties” and noted that during the visit he plans to strengthen “friendship, cooperation and peace” between Russia and China.
China and Russia adhere to the concept of “eternal friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation,” Xi Jinping believes. Bilateral relations are based on three basic principles: “non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-direction against third parties.”
“My upcoming visit to Russia is aimed at strengthening friendship, cooperation and peace. Together with President Vladimir Putin, I am ready to outline new plans and measures in order to open new prospects for China-Russia relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction,” the Chinese leader also points out.
Xi Jinping pointed out that, in his opinion, the modern world is affected by profound changes, and solidarity and peace “on the planet without division and upheaval are in the common interests of all mankind.”
“We are convinced that a rational way out of the Ukrainian crisis and a path to lasting peace and universal security in the world will be found if everyone is guided by the concept of common, comprehensive, joint and sustainable security, and continue dialogue and consultations in an equal, prudent and pragmatic manner,” The head of the People’s Republic of China develops this idea.
Before Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia, the President of the Russian Federation also wrote an article for a Chinese newspaper. In the material, among other things, the Russian leader thanked the leadership of China for readiness to help in the diplomatic solution of the conflict in Ukraine.
Xi Jinping will arrive in Russia on March 20. This will be his first visit to Russia since the beginning of the special operation. A number of Western media suggest that Xi Jinping’s meeting with the Russian President will be successful platform in order to make a statement about the provision of military assistance by China.
