Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov won the skiathlon at the Russian Ski Championship in Tyumen. He showed the best result at a distance of 30 km (1 h. 11 min. 0.2 s).
In second place is Sergei Ustyugov. The gap between the 30-year-old athlete and the winner is only 5.3 s, writes on Sunday, March 19, RIA Novosti – Sport. Ustyugov was on an equal footing with Bolshunov throughout the entire distance. However, he fell on the corner on the last lap.
The top three is closed by Ivan Yakimushkin (+29.4). Aleksey Chervotkin (+29.6) is in fourth place, and Denis Spitsov is in fifth (+29.8).
Bolshunov March 18 took third place on the sprint. Ustyugov became the winner.
On account of the 26-year-old Bolshunov, three gold, four silver and two bronze medals of the Olympic Games. Twice received the World Cup. Honored Master of Sports of Russia.
The Russian cross-country skiing championship takes place in Tyumen from 18 to 26 March. The arena “Pearl of Siberia” will host a total of 12 races – personal sprint classic, skiathlon, skating, skating team sprint, as well as large relay races and mass starts for 30 and 50 km classic.
