Belgrade and Pristina agreed on several positions at the talks held in North Macedonia’s Ohrid. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke about this.

Vučić held 12-hour talks with Prime Minister of the unrecognized Kosovo Albin Kurti. They were also attended by the head of EU diplomacy, Joseph Borrell, and the special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak. The parties discussed the implementation of the European-American plan for a settlement in Kosovo.

As a result of this meeting, Pristina pledged to start the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija. About it informs March 19 TASS.

“The few points that we agreed on will become the framework of the implementation plan for both sides, for Belgrade and Pristina. It is important that we agreed that the European Council is on this path, in a process that is serious, long and lasts not one or five days, will assess who and how much has contributed to the implementation plan,” the President of Serbia explained.

Vučić noted that the result obtained in the negotiations is only the beginning. He added that “nothing ends, only begins.”

Earlier in March, the President of Serbia emphasized that the republic ready to continue discussing agreement on the path to normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. However, Serbia will not agree to recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo and will oppose its entry into the United Nations. At the same time, the plan proposed by the European Union implies the consent of the Serbian authorities to the membership of Pristina in any international organizations.
